Jordan French Insurance Company (JOFICO) was established in 1976 in collaboration with (Compagnie Financière Du Groupe Victoire), with a capital of JD 250,000 at the time.

JOFICO has been considered one of the most important leading companies in the Insurance sector development in Jordan. JOFICO adopts a vision centered on the pursuit of excellence in providing its insurance services with high flexibility and transparency. Furthermore, it seeks to build a long-term relationship with its customers to provide them with the latest insurance solutions in the market.

We have a set of core values which guide our approach pursuing and conducting our business, our goal is to become a one-stop shop that meets customers’ insurance needs as our specialized professional team apply a proactive consultative technique to understanding the risks, resolving problems and mapping recommendations to clients at the most competitive prices and highest level of service. Whereas our experience over the past four decades has given our company a competitive advantage in providing and managing insurance services for major sectors and institutions in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Founder’s Vision

Mr. Wael Ayoub Zurub, “Sheikh Al Ta’meen” (may his soul rest in peace), established JOFICO, Jordan French Insurance Company on March 20, 1976, and set a successful strategy that made JOFICO a leading company and an effective element in the development of the insurance industry in Jordan. JOFICO attracted several institutions in both private and public sectors and played a key role in spreading insurance awareness for institutions and individuals in the Jordanian society. In addition to investing in human elements allowing hundreds of generations to work in the company and gain professional and practical experience in the insurance sector, assisting them to lead the insurance companies in the region.

1987

Lincoln National Life Insurance Co - USA became a shareholder and launched the life insurance department

1997

Jordan Armed Forces, Economic and Social Association for Retired Servicemen and Veterans (ESARSV), and Social Security Corporation bought equity in JOFICO and became shareholders and board members

1999

"JOFICO" obtained the distinguished ISO 9002.1194 Certificate

2000

"JOFICO" and partners purchased 70% of Al-Mashreq Insurance Co. Ram Allah, Palestine.

2001

“JOFICO” moved the headquarter to the current building located in Shmeisani in celebration of its the 25th anniversary

2006

"JOFICO" contributed in establishing National Insurance Co. – NIC in Syria with full technical and administrative support

2008

"JOFICO" increased its capital to 9.100.000 JOD through public offering (IPO)

2014

"JOFICO" opened new branches in different governorates in Jordan

2018

The international rating agency A.M. Best, assigned "JOFICO" an (ICR) rating of BB+ Positive

2019

"JOFICO" signed an agreement with MadfooatCom and launched the online payment services via eFAWATEERcom "JOFICO" developed new systems for automating multiple work procedures in technical departments

2020

Launching "JOFICO" Electronic Platform (e-jofico) to serve our customers online. Donation for Himmat Watan Fund and The Ministry of Health to support our country in confronting Coronavirus pandemic

2021

Launching JOFICO's new website with additional features that keep pace with digital transformation
